Extender to the test, Migrants grab some rest

Decided to put the extender into action again with a morning and evening session today. The morning gave me this distant juvenile Ringed Plover and a very grumpy Robin who clearly didn't appreciate my disturbing him. Original of a juvenile Ringed Plover at Salthouse Significant cropping doesn't reduce image quality, despite the use of a teleconverter.  Robin at Stiffkey Campsite Wood. Many Robins on the coast are migrants that have arrived from across the North Sea.  This evening I decided to head down to Thornham Point, a 3.5 mile round walk from Titchwell RSPB car park. The walk out was relatively quiet, however the number of Golden Plover is building up on the reserve. Getting to the end of point I crossed the dunes onto the small "island" where the pill box sits.
